Giving Back: Haslett Food Pantry Support 

The month of **November** is traditionally a time of giving, and this year, the needs of our neighbors are especially prominent. The families of Haslett Public Schools have a proud history of stepping up to support our local **Haslett Food Pantry**, and there are many ways we can help.

Haslett Food Pantry Needs and Contact

The Haslett Food Pantry currently averages assisting **55 local families** with monthly food assistance. Just in October this number is up 35%.

Individual Donations: You can drop off direct donations to the Haslett Food Pantry during their hours of operation: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Upcoming Giving Opportunities by School 

Get involved through your student's school!

“District Take What You Need” food shelves - Housed at Wilkshire
  • Items can be dropped off at **Wilkshire, Murphy, Ralya, or the Middle School**.
  • Items are available for pick up **Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.** (school days only)
  • **Eat out at Noodles & Co. on November 19, 4-8 p.m.** - A percentage of the sales will be donated for purchase of food items for the food shelves.

Family Assistance Request: Please contact the respective school's office if your family needs support.

  • Wilkshire Early Childhood Center: “Oodles of Noodles” Collection for Haslett Food Pantry (November 3-17, 2025) & Accepting donations for the “Take What You Need” shelves.
  • Haslett High School: Hosting a **turkey, ham, and food drive** (November 17-21, 2025).
  • Haslett Middle School: Hosting a **food drive** supporting the Haslett Food Pantry and District Food Shelves (November 10-21, 2025) & Accepting donations for the “Take What You Need” shelves.
  • Ralya Elementary: Accepting donations for the “Take What You Need” shelves & Collecting **snacks for stockings** in the upcoming weeks (specific dates to follow).
  • Murphy Elementary: Accepting donations for the “Take What You Need” shelves & Hosting a **canned fruit and veggie drive** in Spring 2026.

Support Within Our Schools

We want to highlight the essential programs already in place to support our students:

  • Free Meals: Haslett Public Schools provide **free breakfast and lunch to all students**.
  • Weekend Survival Kits: The **Weekend Survival Kit program**, facilitated by the Greater Lansing Food Bank, runs at each of our elementary schools, sending food home with students every other weekend.

Blondies Barn invites YOU to a **free Community Thanksgiving Meal** on **Thursday, November 27, 2025**, from noon - 2 p.m. No reservations or signups are required.
