🎶 Haslett Viking Marching Band at CMU Band Day
On September 27, the Haslett Viking Marching Band participated in the 71st Central Michigan University Band Day hosted by the Chippewa Marching band. Students arrived that morning to participate in a rehearsal and had the opportunity to be mentored by members of the Chippewa Marching Band in sectionals.
During the Central Michigan University football game, the Viking Marching Band, along with 1,300 other high school band students, joined the Chippewa Marching Band and performed three tunes during the halftime which included Sweet but Psycho, Made You Look, and Born This Way.
The mass band ended the performance with the Central Michigan University Fight Song.
Every year, the Chippewa Marching Band invites an alumni to guest conduct the Fight Song. This year, the guest conductor was our very own, Mike Larsen, who graduated in 1999.
