Student Safety Task Force
Building Safer Schools Through Family Partnership
In alignment with Strategic Plan Pillar 2 (Student Safety and Wellness), Priority 1 (Safe Learning Environments), we are establishing a systematic community-driven approach to enhancing safety across all district schools.
This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to ongoing improvement and meaningful family partnership in ensuring safe learning environments for every student.
Our Approach
We will engage the community through a three-level approach.
- District-Wide Survey: Families, staff, and community members will provide input on safety concerns, current measures, and priorities. This will establish baseline data and identify trends.
- Individual Interviews & Focus Groups: One-on-one and small group sessions with diverse representatives to delve deeper into survey findings, provide context, and generate solution ideas for task force consideration.
- Student Safety Task Force Analysis: A representative task force of staff, families, emergency responders, and mental health professionals will review all findings and current research to develop actionable recommendations.
