Trademark and Licensing

The Haslett Public Schools logo and associated marks are trademarked and owned by Haslett Public Schools. To protect our district visual identity and ensure proper usage, different approval levels apply depending on who is using the logos and for what purpose.

Internal Use

Approved — No Permission Needed

The following groups may use Haslett Public Schools logos without seeking additional permission, provided they follow all Logo Usage and Branding Guidelines:

  • Haslett Public Schools employees, for official district business.
  • Athletic teams representing Haslett Public Schools.
  • School clubs and organizations officially affiliated with the district.
  • The Foundation for Haslett Public Schools.
  • Booster or Parent/Teacher organizations officially recognized by the district.

Requirements for Internal Use

  • All usage must comply with the Logo Usage and Branding Guidelines.
  • Logos must be used only for official purposes related to Haslett Public Schools.
  • Materials must maintain the professional standards outlined in our brand guidelines.
  • Any questions about appropriate usage should be directed to the Superintendent's Office.

Commercial Use

Permission Required

All commercial use of Haslett Public Schools logos requires express written permission and licensing approval from the Superintendent's Office.

Commercial Use Includes

  • For-profit businesses using logos for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Merchandise sales featuring district logos.
  • Commercial partnerships or sponsorship materials.
  • Any use intended to generate revenue or profit.

Licensing Terms

  • Commercial licensing terms and fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • All licensing agreements must be approved by the Superintendent.
  • Licensing agreements include specific usage guidelines and restrictions.
  • Violation of licensing terms may result in immediate termination of permission.

Haslett Public Schools reserves the right to oppose any use of its official wordmarks and insignias it deems unlawful or improper.

Permission Required

Non-commercial external organizations must also receive written authorization before using Haslett Public Schools logos, including:

  • Media organizations, for publications or broadcasts.

Brand Standards Compliance

Required standards. All usage of Haslett Public Schools logos, whether internal or external, must comply with the standards detailed in our Logo Usage and Branding Guidelines. The district reserves the right to:

  • Remove or require changes to materials not meeting brand standards.
  • Revoke permission for organizations not following guidelines.
  • Oppose any unauthorized or improper use of our copyrighted materials.
  • Take legal action against uses that constitute trademark infringement.

Reporting Unauthorized Use
