Logo History

A Legacy of Excellence

The visual identity of Haslett Public Schools reflects our district's evolution and unwavering commitment to educational excellence. Our logos have served as symbols of aspiration, achievement, and community pride.

The A+ Era (1988-2024)

Haslett A+ Logo

Community-Driven Vision: In 1988, Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Hughes led a collaborative effort with building leaders and community members to create a distinctive identity for our district. Working with a marketing consultant, these discussions resulted in the A+ Haslett Public Schools service mark.

Philosophy of Excellence: The A+ symbol represented our aspiration for personal and school-wide achievement. It was never intended to signify perfection already achieved, but rather an ongoing commitment to excellence that guided every district decision for over 35 years.

The Forward-Leaning H

HPS Logo

Evolution, Not Revolution: Our transition to the forward-leaning H represents growth while honoring our foundation. The new logo embodies:

  • Forward Progress: Movement and innovation in education
  • Dynamic Leadership: Our proactive approach to educational excellence
  • Community Unity: One Haslett family working together
  • Continued Excellence: Building on 35 years of the A+ philosophy

Continuity of Values

What Remains Constant While our visual identity has evolved, our core values continue:

  • Excellence in everything we do
  • Innovation and continuous improvement
  • Community collaboration in decision-making
  • Student-centered focus on individual potential

Looking Forward: The forward-leaning H carries forward the aspirational spirit of the A+ era while positioning Haslett Public Schools for future challenges and opportunities. Our visual identity continues to reflect our commitment to providing exceptional education for every student we serve.

Our visual identity tells the story of a community committed to excellence across generations.
